ADMISSIONS / Steps to Admission
Thank you for your interest in applying for admission to Fort Bend Baptist Academy. Please complete the following steps in the admissions process:
- Submit the completed application. Include the following documentation with the application:
Copy of the student´s birth certificate (NOTE: Birth certificates are those issued by any state´s Bureau of Vital Statistics. Hospital souvenirs are NOT acceptable. If your child does not have a birth certificate AND he/she was born in any county in the state of Texas, you may obtain a birth certificate through the District Clerk of Fort Bend County. Copy of the student´s social security card (Required for High School only)
Copy of immunization records.
Most recent report card and final report cards from the past three years
Copies of scores from past achievement and/or standardized tests
Copies of reports from previous special testing for reading, learning, and/or attention difficulties
Application Fee waived for 2010-2011 applicants
For grades PreK- 4, the $50 Testing Fee is paid directly to FBBA
For grades 5 -12 you must register for the ISEE Test by going to www.iseetest.org. A Testing Fee of $89 is paid directly to ERB.
- Download and read the Declaration of Values booklet. You will be asked about this information during the parent interview.
- For High School and Middle School applicants, submit the four signed recommendation forms to current teachers, counselors, and ministers. Those individuals will mail the completed recommendations directly to FBBA Admissions.
- For Elementary applicants, submit the one signed recommendation form to your reference. That person will be required to mail the form directly to FBBA.
If applications and recommendations are downloaded from this website, forms should be mailed to: Fort Bend Baptist Academy, 1250 Seventh Street, Sugar Land, TX 77478, Attention: Admissions. The student´s application will not be processed until all recommendation forms are received in the Admissions office.
- Attend the new applicant testing for PreK through twelfth grades. All applicants must be tested.
Testing registration for grades 5-12 is done online at www.iseetest.org. For grades PK-4, testing will be scheduled after the application has been received by the Admissions Office.
- Schedule an interview appointment.
All prospective FBBA families will be interviewed. Admissions interviews will be conducted after testing is completed and all recommendation forms have been received in the school office.
The FBBA Admissions Committee will notify all applicants by mail regarding the Admissions Committee´s decision. If a student is accepted, a registration packet will be mailed with the notification letter. This will include a Registration Form, Tuition Payment Contract, Statement of Cooperation, a request for records, and information regarding required immunizations. A student´s name will be placed on a grade level roster only after each of the following is submitted to the school office: all registration packet forms, requested health information, and the non-refundable $250 New Student Registration Fee.
Fort Bend Baptist Academy does not discriminate on the basis of race, sex, color, ethnic background or national origin in its admission or educational policies. FBBA does not have facilities or staff for the education of students with special education or emotional needs. In the best interest of students with these needs, we cannot consider them for admission.
